The Book of 1 Kings
Following David's death, Solomon's reign began with amazing success, including the construction of the Temple. Then Rehoboam (Solomon’s son) succeeded and took poor advice from his young friends and attempted to rule with an iron hand. The people rebelled, and the kingdom was split in two. Both kingdoms had a reign of evil kings, with just a few good kings in the south with the loud and clear voices of the prophets continuing to worn and call these nations back to God.
Of all the prophets at that time Elijah is surly one of the greatest prophets in the Book of 1 Kings.
