The Women who Witness the Messiah’s Birth

Mary – God promise she would give birth to the Messiah, and she was willing to be God’s servant. Luke 1:30-38 Elizabeth – knew that her son John would be the messenger for May’s son, the Messiah. Luke 1:43-45 The Shepherds – after finding and seeing the baby Jesus, they went to spread the news to everyone they meet. Luke 2:8-20 Anna – as a widow she serves as a prophetess at the Temple. After a long wait, she gave her words of praises to baby Jesus, the long-awaited Messiah. Luke 3:36-38
