Jabez, a Man of Faith

1 Chronicles 4:9-10 Jabez was more honorable than his brothers. His mother named him Jabez, saying, “I gave birth to him in pain.” Jabez is the Hebrew word for “pain”. Jabez was a man who dared to ask God. Jabez had great ambition. “I want God to bless me.” Jabez request was specific “enlarge my territory!” Jabez prayed for God’s help. “Let your hand be with me.” Jabez prayed for God’s protection. “keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain.” God granted his request.
